My Review for HP 7: Part 1!!
Before I get to a review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1…I just wanna say:
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS???????
WHY THE FUCK DID TWILIGHT’S ECLIPSE AND NEW MOON DO BETTER THAN HARRY POTTER 7 PART 1?!??!?! ARE AMERICAN PEOPLE STUPID OR WHAT?
So I’m looking at the DOMESTIC opening day box office numbers and it says the film made $24 million for the MIDNIGHT showing….this puts it behind eclipse and new moon!!!….for its first day, it made $61 million!! But what the fuck!! Eclipse and new moon still made more ON THE FIRST DAY!!!.. …because these numbers only apply to the United States, I want to conclude that AMERICAN people are DUMBFUCKS who have no taste…
Anyway, I’m not really bugging because Harry Potter is the highest grossing franchise OF ALL TIME (says Wikipedia lol) and twilight is #13…so HAHHAHHA SUCK ON THAT TWI-HARDS!!! Also, it’s not a big deal because Harry Potter movies make more revenue per movie than the Twilight movies OVERALL…so I’m pleased by that Anyway, WOW….I can’t believe how good Part 1 was!! This was pretty much the best Harry Potter movie I’ve ever seen!!! (well..FOR NOW..I’m sure Part 2 will kick major ass) I love the feel of this movie …and the locations are stunning….actually, I think David Yates is the best director in the series…..as Harry Potter progresses, it becomes more dark and twisted, and David Yates was able to achieve this in a way that other Harry Potter directors couldn’t… even the opening logo of Warner Brothers gave me the chills because it was rusty and crumbling….and although I wish John Williams (this man is a legend) returned to score the last 2 films, I’m very pleased with the score in the movie especially the 2 opening songs they used..it really set the tone for the rest of the movie
One thing I want to say about the 7 potters scene is HARRY is HAIRY..lol..damn….wtf with all his shirtlessness!!! but anyway…..they did a really good job with the 7 potters without making it look complicated….what I love about Harry Potter is the random humor they include in serious parts….
…and when that man Ginny Weasley asked Harry to zip up her dress….what the eff was that about???? Lol….*shivers* Ginny is so fugly….and that line made me uncomfortable….and wow…when they say that they weren’t going to hold back during Harry and Hermoine’s make-out scene..they were NOT playing around….they were really making out HARD
I don’t really know what to say!! I love everything about this movie…the Ministry of Magic ….the forest ….the final scene at Malfoy Manor….everything was just well done….I felt really sad when Dobby appeared in the Malfoy cellar to rescue them….everyone knew that the little fucker was going to die and we were just waiting for his impending doom….poor thing died right after he made that inspirational speech about being there for his friends…
And WTF!! BATHILDA BAGSHOT was frigging scary!!! I jumped out of my seat when she creeped up on Harry and Hermoine on the street…..and the snake….this scene was just as scary as I remembered in the book
While I understand that the movies are treated separately from the books, there were a few key things I was looking for that they didn’t show in the movie (and this is coming from someone who hasn’t read the book since it first came out)…. This included Kreacher’s tale, an explanation between Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s relationship, a mock-up of Ravenclaw’s diadem (one of the horcruxes) in the Lovegood’s house, and how Peter Pettigrew really died….I’m sure most of these things aren’t important….but it would have been nice for them to explain who Grindelwald was and to focus on Dumbledore’s past a little bit more….they touched on this at the wedding reception…but not enough…I think they should have kept this in so the audience begins to question what Dumbledore’s true intentions were….but oh well…..i’m sure the screenwriters know exactly what they’re doing :)
Either way, Part 1 was an excellent adaptation of half of the book!!! They really covered the main things going on….especially the relationship between Harry, Ron, and Hermoine…..one of my favorite things about Book 7 was Ron’s jealousy towards Harry and I think they captured that very well……all 3 are much better actors in the last one….especially Emma Watson…her acting used to make me cringe cuz that bitch was WAYYYYY too into it…..she’d overact the part….but she was perfect in this movie…she really toned it down in a good way lol..and whoa whoa whoa…what do we have here? .that heated argument between Ron and Harry was AWESOME…..PS. ron is so sexy
And I disagree with some of the reviews out there….some critics say that the movie lags in the middle because there’s not enough action while they’re camping….but I think it was perfect…it’s not supposed to be about action….it’s about their relationships….and I think the film really captures their isolation and frustration, which is the main focus of Part 1
Some things I will be looking forward to in Part 2 is the Gringotts bank scene where Hufflepuff’s cup multiplies like crazy, Snape’s death and memories (my favorite part from the whole book), and of course…the BATTLE OF HOGWARTS!!! :)
PART 2 IS GOING TO KICK MAJOR ASS!!! July is too far away..I wish they just released it as one whole movie :( I don’t think anyone would have minded to sit in the movie theatre for 5 hours….but oh well!…..I can’t wait for the finale!!
I give this film a 9.6/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

My thoughts on the last Harry Potter…

I know this is really nerdy but WOW….i decided to write a blog on Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows
So part 1 is coming out on November 19 and the FINAL harry potter is coming out next July and though I’m really excited, I feel really sad about it….
when Star Wars Ep III came out in 2005, I told my sister “at least we have Harry Potter to look forward to” and after part II comes out next summer, it will be officially over….i can’t believe how fast the time has flown by…
The first harry potter came out when I was in 5th grade in 1998 and I remember the first person I knew to ever have that book was this girl named Emma Storey…she had the book on the corner of her desk…and I remember our teacher Mr. Dodd talking about the hype over it….like a little brat, I was rolling my eyes the whole time he was talking ….I thought the book looked really stupid with the skinny brunette boy on the cover with his broomstick…
Honestly, I wasn’t an actual fan of Harry Potter until my sister dragged me to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in 2002…I mean I read the first 2 books as book reports in middle school….but that was it..I only liked it..not loved it…but then Cynthia made me see this movie……I fell in love with Dobby the elf because he was so stupid…I remember the main title coming on the screen and me making fun of it..lol…cynthia knows what i’m talking about…
Fast-forward to 9 years later, and things have changed….I think that’s the part that really gets to me…..that Harry Potter has been a part of my life for 13 years….from the midnight book releases to the camping out for the films…..I’m going to be 22 now and it feels really appropriate that Harry Potter is ending at the time when it’s time to grow up and become an adult….Harry potter was a big part of my child hood and adolescence….and I know I’m not just speaking for myself…..we all grew up with him
And in other ways, newer generations of kids will be able to grow up with him…..I was sitting and waiting for the Eclipse midnight showing and I noticed a little girl reading Harry Potter…and I thought to myself, “hopefully Harry Potter will mean something to this girl like it has for me and my friends”…..I know that Twilight and Harry Potter get compared a lot …..and although they have nothing in common…..I can’t wait until the last Harry Potter comes out and kicks twilight’s ass! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was my favorite book and wow…what a way to end the series…that’s for sure
I mean J K Rowling created a whole entire world of Harry Potter that was so distinct “right down to the type of currency and to the spells” (Marcela said that and she’s right)…I think that’s what makes it so special……and it will be here forever
you find the weirdest people….
…on the bus
oh man….i mean irvine buses are all clean…everyone is normal…but i get on the bus at san diego….and…wait for it…
THERE’S A LADY WITH A BEARD!!! yes…a full on beard
i was like WTF…..i felt like i was in another dimension..lol….and there all these spaced out/cracked out people
this blonde lady in front of us kept staring at us with her glossy beady eyes…and she randomly goes “have you seen memiors of a geisha?” and in my mind, i go (WHY? CUZ WE’RE ASIAN??) ….but i go “hehe…yup…good movie”…and she continues to look all cracked out….lol…it was one interesting bus ride
